See Flex in action

Below are some sites that make good use of Flex. Try some, you'll quickly see that they provide vastly more functionality than you expect from "normal" browser-based programs.

Mini Configurator

Looking to buy a new car? The Mini Configurator allows you to customize the features of your Cooper Mini and calculate the price. No registration required.

Adobe Buzzword

Buzzword is an online word processor and more, allowing "web-based file sharing and storage, create PDF services, and on-line web conferencing and screen sharing." It is one of many web-based tools Adobe is working on. The current version is beta, and it's free, but you must register to use it.

sliderocket

The site sliderocket offers a web-based alternative to PowerPoint. You can sign up to use the beta version or just check out the demos (choose 3-2-1 demos, then play some of the videos or view sample presentations).

Aviary

If you like to edit images try Aviary. Sign up for the free account, then use its Phoenix image editor to upload and edit an image. You'll think you're using a true desktop app, not something running in a browser.

InteliSea

Those of you with yachts will love InteliSea. It allows you to monitor and manage your yacht through a web browser. Sorry, you can't use the link above to actually take control of a yacht, but you will see a demo that gives a good feel for Flex capabilities.

Pizap

Pizap is just for fun, a way to modify images with cartoon-like "paste-ons".

There are also dozens of other example sites at the Flex.org showcase. Also, Adobe has a page with videos describing how some sites make use of Flex. See them here.
